Yes,High five because my online group started this as a SAL and they all started at the beginning of the month. I just got mine done yesturday at about 4 pm,this is a very quick stitch.This catches me up to the group.
I'm thinking about doing this one again only on 14 count so I can make a Christmas card out of it because I have a friend that likes snowmen.

Well a few weeks into the new year and I have my first finish. I wanna put this on a box that I will put miscellaneous stuff into. I have a thing for boxes and I can't explain it.
Next project I will work on is some small things for Christmas cards. I would like to have enough stitched cards done by Christmas 2011 to send out. I found a bunch of small patterns online but can't remember who posted them.

I finally finished a few little one.

My oldest son come to live with me after 12 years of being with his dad. Still have not found a job and depression is all over me most the time. Now me and my son both need to find jobs and I have to find a way to get him into a drivers ED program. I shur would like a blue line showing me the way to go but it don't seam to appear.

I have not been doing much stitching but managed to get this little project done.Thinking I might turn this into a book mark.

Personally I have been job searching for the last few months. Had a weird dream last night that I was calling some guy to follow up on a job and he asked me to come in right now. I told him it would have to be in street cloths and he said that was fine he was swampped and needed help. Maybe that's a good sighn cause I sure haven't gotten much more then that. Depresion is running right behind me right now and I'm trying so hard to keep it from knocking me over. Heidi I know IOU you an envelope and soon as I find steady work I will mail it to you. I'm so very sorry I have taken so long.

OK here it is my first finish of 2010. Took me 24 days to complete. The stitching mojo has been a little better but the time issue has not changed. The blood work come back and they found nothing wrong. Why am I still tired all the time ????? maybe it's just because I have such a boaring life. Going back to doc today because I'm still tired and I can go to sleep at 6 pm but only sleep for a few hours then I'm up tossing and turning the rest of the night. Hope you all enjoy my finish and have a great week.

Well though I find it hard to belive we have started a new year Back about 6 weeks ago I lost my stitching mojo and well it's just now comming back. There have been a few changes in my life. My youngest son had a tree limb fall on his foot and broke his fourth toe. They did surgery on it and he has a pin on the outside of his foot till it heals. My dad liked to have cut off his fingures doing something around the house. He will be going in for surgery this next week. I now have keys to the Braum's I work at and I now open at least 2 days a week and run the shift. Have a class along them lines that I'm beeing sent to Monday and Tuesday.I went to the doctor this morning and she did some blood work. Results soon I hope and I hope we can figure out why I'm so tired all the time. Last but not least my oldest son turns 18 on the 22 of January. Red letter day for me as I'm one step closer to not having to deal with my X...Wahooo. Started this on January-01-2010. So this is my new year start.

Been a while...

Yes !!!!!! it's been a while since my last post. I have gotten a new computer and things have been crazy at work. Dennis surprised me with a new computer about a week ago and so I have been transferring files and such stuff to get the new one going like the old one. I'm still trying to get outlook back in working mode but that will almost complete my transfer. I hope...as I'm tired of doing this and what to get back to stitching. We lost power at work a few days ago and that was an interesting day. I have never experienced a power shortage while on the job before. We had to get on the phone and call all these people like the electric company, the big boss & the help desk. We then had to wait to see if the power was gonna come back on. We waited about two hours then had to order dry Ice and get all the ice cream in the big walk-in freezer. Then we waited some more and while we was waiting this time we found out that there was power lines down for about two blocks at the end of the street and that the electrical storm we had earlier had blown a transformer. They said power would be back on in just a few hours or it could take all day. It took all day cause when I left at 2:30 PM it was still off. From what I understand the power came back on at around 5:45 PM so they reopened and had a descent dinner run.

Lillie has been showing her Tea Pot collection and this has got me thinking I should try to do one with polymer clay so here it is.....My little tea pot. I have only one question now. Should I make cups to go with it?

Rose MA arrived and it looks as if it was grown in my garden. Sari did an outstanding job on this and I shouldn't have waited so long to show you all. The envy's are great as well. I'm already thinking about valentine stitching with these colors of floss.

I'm a Cat nut and so my bigest collection is of Cats. I have some jade ones from korea (I think it was). The only thing my X ever gave me worth keeeping....LOL

I have been waiting for this one to arrive and it was well worth the wait. This was from Lody at Mailart Friends a yahoo group. This exchange was Initials. Dennis liked this one as well...He Owwed and awwed over it for 10 minutes.I loved everything about this one. The envies inside were great as well. Thank you Lody for the great MA to add to my collection.

I was out shopping for a gift for a friend the other day and I stumbled across this great find. Being a big Eeyore fan I just couldn't pass him up. He is just too cute for words.

I got a little work done on Flower Power last week and here is my end of the week progress. This one is still a joy to work on but seams to be a slow stitch. That could be cause I'm only working on this when I get free time on my days off.

Started this on 7-09-09Cheryl from my Yhaoo group FC sent me this pattern. Some of the ladies in this group are doing this as a SAL and I have admired it the first time I saw it. They started there's weeks ago. Now I thought I would wait till I retired to do this due to it's size but guess God had other plans. I'm both Happy and scared to be doing this pattern. Started this one on 7-10-09.
Don't know what has gotten into me these day's. At work I have been cleaning thoroughly and at home I organized my card making stuff then today I organized my fabric. Gonna get rid of allot of it due to not having any use for it. Here is the before.

and my LQ Square is done. Travon I hope you like him on your quilt. Though a bit bigger then I thought this was still a fun stitch.This one was found on Cyberstitchers and was 122x122.Did some MA that has been received so I can now show it. The first one is from my Initials exchange. You can't see the card very well but I put the AC all over the left side of the card. I used two different patterns to make this one design. This one went to a good friend that happens to have a birthday on the 4th of July. Dennis stitched the OINK piggie and I did the other one. Originally I was just gonna make them into two separate cards but then I got the idea to make them both into a post card. Remember the Quaker pig I did a while back? I gathered up a few other members of our FC group and we managed to make her a quilt.That pig was used on it & you can see that here if you wish. Stitched Crossings This quilt could not have been done without the help of a few friends so to them I wanna say THANKS a bunch.

Pictures say so much. Now 2 weeks later they still like the boxes but I had to remove them from the floor as they are worn out from cat's jumping on top all day long.

I did another MailArt and received word via the mail man that it had arrived safe and sound. Don't know if you remember the start of this one or not. If you scroll down a few posts you can see it. I'm upset with the lady in witch this went to. You are supposed to post to the group when you receive along with photos so the group can owwww & awwwwwwww. This lady did not do this and I would really just like to know why? Well her it is my very first LQ Square. I had so much fun doing this and to know that it will soon be bringing a smile to a very sick child is a good feeling. I changed the colors of the flowers and the bow to reflect Breonn's color interest. You can read about Breonn on LQ. This will be in the mail as soon as I get another day off. Hopefully that is way before July 1 when the square is due.

I hope every one had a great Mother's Day. I had the best one I have ever had. Thank you Chris & Nicky. My baby took me out to eat breakfast with the money he saved from moving lawns. Chris bought me some cute little birthstone eerings and they both gave me carnations. They really put some thought into this Mother's Day..That's what I liked the best.I had a small finish last week I think it was. I saw this little doodle online the other day and just fell in love with it so I stitched it up. This is my Starting point as of 5-15-09 for the May Facebook SAL. I had just arrived home from work and was about to jump in the shower when I heard a knock at the door. It was the mail lady and I could see 2 envelopes in her hand. I was so excited as I knew it was my MA from the Tea/ Coffee exchange & my pattern from Lillie. My first MA all the way from Greece...It's a Mill Hill design and all done in beads. Thank you so much Michelle for this piece of art.

I admired this pattern a while back when I saw Lillie stitching it. A few weeks ago she noticed that she had a duplicate so she sent me this one. How very sweet of her and I have just a few things to stitch first then I will be able to-do this one. Also inclosed was some pins she hand made and a post card. OK ladies I just got word that my latest MA has been received. The theme was Coffee/Tea and was given to Michelle in GREECE. My first one to go there so you can click on her name and you can see the MA I sent. I'm still waiting on mine from her and will show as soon as it comes in.

On the stitching front:
I finished this about a week ago. Not to happy with the trim job but Dennis likes it and that's what matters.

This is my current WIP and I'm doing this with a FaceBook group. Wanna try and finish it up this weekend so we will see. Right now I can't tell who it's for or what it will be. I found the Satin floss pack at Hobby Lobby last week and thought the colors would be great for flowers then when I got the pack home and opened it up I saw these cute Butterfly's on a leflet inside. Now I have two uses for the floss. Wahooo !!!!!

This is my arm after one week. Looks good if you ask me. Been putting the vitamin E oil on it several times a day and it's just about all pealed off and just a tiny pink color. For those who don't know what happened. I had a fight with the bacon at work and the bacon won...LOL I was pulling a pan of cooked bacon out the oven and there was a great amount of grease on the pan. When I turned to set the pan on the table the grease drizzled down my arm. Thus resulting in this. I ran my arm under cold water to get the grease off and then put on Lavender oil. It never boiled up just got really brown.

Sale finds and a finish

I was out shopping on Saturday and found the perfect purse. When I put it on the table or any other surface it stands up even with my key's attached. The last purse I had would keep falling over and frustrated me so. It was a little pricier then I normally pay but it's well worth it. Dennis and I went estate sailing on Sunday and we found three cases of these bottles for $3. Think we will use them for his home made hot sauce as Christmas gifts.

Not much progress has been made on my cross but I did manage to get this little guy done. He will either become a book mark for charity or an ornament. I used one of the floss' sent to me by Donna from FC but this floss had no tag so I can't tell you what color it was. I sure like this color though.

This I'm working on for Dennis' Christmas cards. The cross is from one magazine and the flower is from another. The cross pattern called for a poinsettia inside but the satin stitch is really hard to do on Aida fabric. I think it's turning out cute in spite of the change. Here we have the finished Square and the photo does not due it justice. I wished I could have gotten a better one.

I'm working on a Quaker Pig and loving every stitch. Dennis has had my camera so I've not been able to post till now. The photo is not very good. I'm using Caron's Waterlilies- Orange Blossom per the requirement of the chart. I hand dyed the fabric a lavender color and I think that is making the floss look lighter. It's a variegated cream and pink color. If I had seen the floss before getting 6 hours into the project I would have just scraped it and did this in a darker pink. In the photo you see my working copy of the pattern. The dark color marked off is what Mr. Frog did to me. I kicked his but out to the pond and I hope he stays there a while...LOLDennis had a few finishes. The tree is done in Caron's Wildflowers-Pomegranate and Kelp. Had a lady from FC yahoo group send me some floss and Dennis wanted to try it out. The pig is his first and last done on 18 count. He had to put on his glasses and whip out the magnifying glass. It was quit a sight...LOL

Spring is here and these are found in our front yard just two days ago. I think they look like Minnie Lilies.

Eddie Ray "Dickie" Lovett, 82 years of age, passed away Wednesday March 11, 2009.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday in Lucas Sylvania Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Following a committal service, Dickie will be laid to rest in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, Colleyville. Visitation: Dickie will lie in state noon to 7 p.m. Thursday at Lucas Sylvania Funeral Home, with family receiving friends 5 to 7 p.m.
Dickie was born Feb. 23, 1927, to Hardy and Effie B. Lovett in Celina. In 1928 his family moved to Birdville and later to Richland Hills.
Dickie joined the Navy in 1944 where he served in the Pacific aboard the USS New Jersey during World War II. When he returned from the war, he married his loving wife Lillie on April 10, 1947. Since 1958 Dickie was a used car dealer in Fort Worth.
Survivors: Wife, Lillie; son, Brad and his wife, Sondra; granddaughter, Amber and her husband, Danny; great-grandchildren, Madyson and Major; and sisters, Edna and Dorothy "Dot."

This is Irish Coffee and it was a freebie found Here. This statement suite me to a tee. Can't wake up without at least one cup of Coffee.

OK OK I know you all are probably tired of seeing the gifts but got this one last one to show. This come to me from a very dear friend in Kansas whom I have never meet in person but she knows me so well in spite of that. Look at the pretty wrapping paper. she took the time to wrap some of the gifts in.Cherie Cordials..My favorite chocolates. Cashews..My favorite nut (other then Dennis) My very own personalized can cozy..My Dr.Pepper will never be naked again. I very cute hand made card and a few other mis things that will be put to good use. THANK YOU CHRIS !!!!!!

In Lillie's gift she sent me this post card and I thought it looked familiar so after doing some searching of my stitched stuff I found this. I think I'm gonna frame these together and hang them on the wall.

More Birthday and a finish

Right before taking the boys home I made Dennis take a birthday photo of us. This is about the only one I have put on-line. I don't do many photos. Chris isn't looking at the camera as I told him to-do..the goofball. He is so much taller then me we sat him in the chair and I stood. Nicky is not much farther behind Chris in the hight department as you can see.Monday I went to work and when I come home I got a knock at the door. This is what was handed to me. I signed and couldn't get it inside quick enough. I knew the contents would be great but I didn't know how great. Inside was a T-shirt from Lillie's latest travels, A blue box with a pretty blue ribbon tying it all up, a post card with some cute kitties on it and some CHOCOLATE. Lillie knows me to well...LOL The Post card matches a stitching project I did just last month. I think I'm gonna take the post card and the stitched piece and frame in.Lillie confessed to not making the blue box but she had a friend do it for her. She hurt her finger ...Poor Baby. Lillie did however stitch the fob and she put my initial on the back of it. When I op[end the blue box I had no idea what was gonna be in there but just like the battered box it was wonderful. Places for all my stitching stuff. Lillie told me what the box was called but I have lost the note so I'm sorry I can't tell you what it's called. I just call it Fabulous. Thanks so much my friend. Vermilion February hearts is done. Finished it on March -03-09 at about 6 PM. Changed the colors to stand out better on the fabric I dyed. Next up is the March snowman. Birthday stuff

Chris made me the snowflake and Nicky used my Cricket to make me a card. The Cat pen come from Nicky's field trip to see the Egyptian exhibit that come to Dallas a while back.I draged the boy's to Build-A-Bear Saturday. The Froggie named Hoppy is mine and I made the Kawala for Nicky as I didn't get him anything for Valentines Day.Hoppy's new home is now on top a big long dresser we have in our bedroom. This is a card I recived from Meg. She belongs to my Yahoo group FC and she made the tatted bookmark for my birthday. I have always admired these when she did them for other members but now I have my very own. WAHOO !!!!!! Thank you Meg. Though I can't bring myself to hid it in a book I hung it on the wall in my kitchen.

All my Cards and floss from the ESC birthday club and a few that were not in the club. Great big thank you to every one who got it to me so I would have it to open on my birthday. I know how hard it is to remeber stuff that falls on the first day of the month.

Now this is not all the stuff for my birthday but the rest is gonna have to wait till the mail comes STITCHING NEWS

Dennis had some finishes and now I have some card making to-do. He played with the colors a bit even if it doesn't show in the photo.

I am almost finished with my February snowman. Not much stitchinf time this last week and Saturday was a no stitching day. Hope to pick it back up today and get it done in the next week.

Happy Valentines to all my readers. Hope you had a great one. Here is the card and plate of cookies I made for Dennis. I used the quilling for the blue hearts and cross stitched the heart a while back. Dennis had a few finishes this week. The photos don't do them justice. The deer was a freebie from a blog I either ran across or some one led me to it in one of my groups. FreebieI finished this one on Saturday (2-14-09) night. Barb I hope this puts a smile on your face and great memories of your friend come through it. This was such a great joy to work on but I'm glad it's done. 3 weeks stitching one piece is a little overwhelming for me at this time in my life. Haven't decided yet what it will become. I thank you if you left me a comment about your thoughts on this piece. Think between you all and Dennis I have concluded that this piece is a January thing. not ready to give up Christmas and ready for Valentines Day

Two updates

Dennis has anouther finish. Cute right ??? He didn't even realize what the tree really was. If you veiw it sidways you can see what I mean. I will make this into a ATC Christmas card for him to send out this year. Now he has started anouther raindeer. So more to come soon. We have some goofy kitties in our house. Crybaby loves to get up and sleep on this bag. Smokey like it as well but most the time it's Crybaby's spot. This bag Dennis puts all his stuff into to take to the shop and every night he puts it in the chair and you can see what happened after that...LOL

Here is my progress as of Sunday the 8 Th of February. This has been such a fun stitch for me. Though the colors have made me think it's a valentine stitch but then you have the ginger bread guys witch is Christmas. What do you think ? Valentines or Christmas ?

Managed a little stitching time this past week. Here is my progress on Spiced Tea. This is the second day of February and I have yet to start the Vermilion snowman of the month. I will either start him soon or wait till I get this one done.

Just a few cards I made Sunday morning using my Cricket machine. Right now all I can really do with my Cricket is the words on the inside but hope to soon have another cartridge to do some shapes. Been trying to do some Quilling stuff and that's what is on the one that says Love.

My dear BF decided a few months ago (OK more like a year ago) that it was time for me to have an upgrade on my Blazer. This is what was presented to me on Sunday 1-25-09 morning. A 2000, bright red blazer. I drove it to work Sunday then really got to drive it on Monday cause I was off. I'm happy with it and the DBF has his good moments..LOL...LOL Oh Ya !!! notice the kitten ? That is from momma kitties last batch of kittens. He is so very soft and very friendly and if I leave my door open he will not hesitate to jump in my car.

First update is of Dennis' stuff. He is really doing good and keeping with the stitching. We have come to an agreement though...He stitches and I make the ATC's for them. He did one and it wasn't very good so this is not his expertise....LOL

I did this one finally as it's been in my stash for a long time. Laura from ESC sent this one to me a while back. Thanks Laura !!! I want to take my cricket machine and make the cats names and make a wall hanging with this. I will post a photo when I get that done.This is a Stitching Kitty design called The Kitty did it & a fun stitch

When the boys were here for Christmas I asked both of them to pick out an ornament pattern they liked. This was Nicky's pick from Lizzie Kate's Tiny Tidings V11.

This is a Helga Mandi design done in DMC 4045 because I didn't want to buy the floss she called for as funds are tight right now. Did this one in only about 4 hours on a Sunday.

Last but not least an non stitching card. Done for my oldest son who will be 17...Yes 17 on the 22 of Jan-09. Love you Chris and hope you enjoy the card. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU !!!!!!!

Father Time the first in the Vermilion set. Took about a week from start to finish. Will now go into a drawer and await the other 11.

Here is my progress on Father time the first snowman in the vermilion series. Started him on Monday the 5Th and he is almost 1/2 the way done. I have changed the colors just a bit. The light blue wasn't showing up very well on my dyed blue fabric and I didn't deem it likable to have a grey and white snowman.

PIF 2009 is now closed and I have my 3 people. Thanks to you all and I hope you enjoy what I send you. I do enjoy stitching for others and this is a great way to do so.

As we prepair to say by by to 2008 and say Hello to 2009 I wanted to get in one last post. I have been collecting the state quarters for 10 years now and have completed this map. It now hangs in my living room where it will stay for a long time to come.

My last stitched finish of 2008. It will be going to my youngest son very soon. He has painted all these Chinese symbols on his wall and I thought this would be a great addition to it. I hope he likes it.

MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!

Lillie and I were on the same page this year. We both sent and received on or about the same day. This is what my friend sent to me. I wore the scarf for the first time last night and it was cozy warm. The ornament is on my little blue tree. Dennis confiscated the Tea. I will find a use for the beads ...maybe a scissor fob or two. I had a little help while taking my photo as you can see. THANK YOU Lillie so very much. You can see what she got by visiting her blog. Just click on her name.

Next are my Clay candle holders. Very easy and fun to make. I'm always looking for ways to craft/recycle stuff around the house. These are made from a paper towel roll.

Snowman is from the 2007 Christmas issue of JCS magazine The other was a freebie that I received in a Christmas card. Thought that was a neet idea and I might just duplicate this idea next year.

Sunday Dennis and I went to the candle shop and we saw this candle holder there. Dennis and I both looked at each other and said "I/you can do that with clay". So when we got home I set out and made these two Vol tine candle holders. The first one was a flop so I gave it another try.

Here is Dennis' second finish. I just now noticed his mistake but it's OK I'll fix that for him. Said he doesn't ever wanna do another snowflake. Said they was to confusing. Don't know what he will do next but think it might be a stocking.

Finished my Bell ornament today and was so very happy. This took me over a week to do up and though it took much longer then I thought it would it really turned out quiet beautifully. Didn't do the back stitching on it as 1. I hate back stitching and 2. I didn't like the way it was looking with it.

Yes !!!!!! you read that right...I finally after a year convinced Dennis to give Crosstitching a try. The first photo is the Itty Bitty Christmas tree he made into a Christmas card. He is now working on a snow flake in red. He is working with 11 count Aida because though you can teach on old dog new crafts you can't make the eye sight better....LOL
He did a really good job on this I think.

Next up we have a project that my oldest and I worked on together. I made the Santa out of clay and put the snow on the pine cones then I helped with the snowmen. Chris made the pound and then glued all the stuff to the board and helped with the snowmen.
He even took the photo.

I did my first Helga Mandl design and turned it into an ornament. This was no easy task for me yesterday. I had an upset tummy and nothing was going right with putting this together. I started out doing the beaded edge but finally ripped that out and went with the frayed edge. Helga Mandl has some freebies here if you wanna check then out. The design I did was from her SAL book that she sells on the group wXswThis was also my first stitch ever on 18 count Aida. I was always so intimidated by the smaller counts but seance Sue was so kind to send me some I had to give it a try. I must say thanks to Sue for that..as I like it very much.

Now I leave you with my ATC's. This will put an end to this project till I can get some more stitched up and Dennis has a chance to catch up...LOL

This is the start of my Angel Doll. Was watching Martha Stewart the other day and she was making Glove dolls then got an email for the craft of the day and this was the craft of the day.I still need to get the wings done and the dress needs some improving but it's not to bad for a first go.

Look look I hit the Fabric Lottery...Wazoo. Thank you Sue V. so much for it all. There was so much in the envelope that I thought it was gonna bust before I could get it open...LOL I will have plenty of fabric for a very long time now.

Yes !!! Wazoo a new finish... Snow Ho Ho is now done and made into a box. Thanks Barb K for doing this as a SAL with me. If it wasn't for the SAL I think he would have sat in the box much longer then he did. Dennis was gonna take this to his shop and put peppermints in it for the holiday's but last night he asked if he could give it to one of his good customers. Of course I said yes but sure hate to see this one go. I'll have to do another next year I guess and let this good customer have a little pleasure this year.

I was on the SMO board the other day and saw some ATC's there so decided to give it a go. This is the two I did Sunday and Monday. Guess what ??? I wasn't to thrilled with them but when Dennis come home from work he feel in love with them. They to have been taken by him for customers and he wants me to make more.

My progress on Twas The night. Not much got done due to Two days of Jury Duty.

Over last weekend I got a few stitched pieces finished up. First we have a little pillow and my very first floss ring.

Wow !!! I have a Friday finish...This don't happen very often. This was a SMO Doodle made with Variegated floss #123 & #69 & finished into an Ornament. The other ornament was finished some time last week but can't member what day.

Saw some Yo Yo animals on a blog the other day and thought I can do that so I pictured a bunny in my head got out an old teddy pattern and my Yo Yo maker and this was the result of that.

Been working on this for about two weeks now. Found it online but right off the top of my head can't tell ya were. I love how the stocking turned out. Used variegated dark red floss sent to me by Lillie and then out lined it in blue glitter. Used the whisper thread for the top of the stocking. Think if you click on the photo it will blow it up and you can see more detail.

Organized a swap with one of my Yahoo groups and this is the ornament I received from Debbie. She also sent me a little bead kit of a cat I will put on my To-Do list for next year.

My progress on Twas The Night before Christmas as of Nov-01-08.Lillie will be happy to know that I'm using one of the flosses she sent to me for the ribbon. I'm also using another one for the sock and doing the white part of the sock in the Whisper thread.

On one of my Yahoo groups I was lucky enough to get in on an exchange at the last minute and this is what was sent to me by Barb K. I got it on Halloween day How lucky was that. Guess Kerobi (my frogie from Malaysia) is doing his job..LOL I love the pinkeep and the pattern. I will defiantly do this one up next year.

Did an ornament and though the tutorial called for this to be a stitched square I did mine out of just fabric. I will do some more of these out of stitched stuff just not right now. I put the beads together as well.

Momma Kitty has finally let the kittens come out to meet me..Now I want them to met you all. There are four kittens in the photo but the black one is very hard to see. Think if you look close you can see his ears. This makes three set's of kittens now. Mama's gotta get fixed soon.

OK as if I don't have enough WIP's to do right now I started another one. I plan on having this done by Christmas 08. I was gonna do this one on a yellow fabric but wouldn't ya know that's the only color I don't have. didn't want to go to the store so I went with a green and red glitter.
Halloween Addition by SanMan Originals. You will not find this one online. This was from the group secret shop and you have to be a member to get anything from there. Sorry ladies. This will be my last Halloween finish of the year.

Next up you should really click here and read what Lillie wrote about this. She is so funny and kind.Kerobi Made it here on 10-27-08 and he sends Hugs and Kisses to Textoad and his Auntie Lillie. Kerobi had lots to tell me about his travels here though he didn't see daylight for many day's. He said his papers cleared customs just fine and he is now enjoying his new home. He got a sniff from the kitties and a big hug from his new mom then set on the shelf where he will watch over my stitching and bring me lots of luck. The other photos are of him as he first got some sunlight and then all the stuff that was sent with him along with his travel bag.Thank You Lillie is really all I can say.

Now if you have kitties you know you have to give them gifts from time to time. Well Lillie provided them with one this time...LOL...LOL

Thursday I had a wisdom tooth pulled and my jaw is still swollen today. I'm in a bit of pain but taking Ibuprofen for that along with heat packs every so often.I just don't understand why all the pain. I had 6 teeth pulled at once and had no pain but this one is about to drive me nuts.This is my current WIP. You can't see it from the photo but the eye's are green sead beads and the pumpkins are outlined with the Gold filament floss..
Managed to get three things finished on Friday but can only show one of them at this time. The other two are for exchanges so...no peeky..no peeky. Dennis will be taking this to work with him but after the holidays it is mine all mine and I will hang it here next year.

Friday Night 10-17-08

Dennis actually come home early and we got to the show early. Dennis and I went to the Circus.I had the best time I've had in a long time. It was the 66 th annual showing. Why is that important you ask well I was born in 66 so that means that so was the circus (Yes showing my age). We ate Hot dogs and Corny dogs for dinner then for desert we had cotton candy and peaunuts..We walked around on the floor before the show and then at half time I got two clowns to sign my program. At the end of the show Dennis bought me a cute little stuffed white tiger. I'm telling ya I felt like a little kid and Dennis just kept laughing at me but I think he felt the same way. He's just a guy and can't show that to any one. On the floor they had the big elephant's and camels to ride around the ring: then they had about 6 little pony's set up for rides. Also they had a few bounce houses and some little cars. I'm glad I don't have a heart condition because the tight rope act sure would have made it bad. Not nets under any of the show except the trapeze act. I know they practice this stuff over and over but I still felt my heart skip a beat on more then one occasion. We didn't get home till 10 PM and it was off to bed for me.
Some of the photos are not great but the memories are so vivid. I hope you can enjoy them anyways.

I have a friday finish witch doesn't happen very offten so here it is. My Snow Poem finished just as Dennis had walked in from work. I also managed to make a few beads out of clay and then put them into scissor fobs. Photos of them didn't turn out so hot so maybe I will try to get some anouther day.

This is where I stand on the Foot Prints project. Haven't given it any attention in about a week but plan to get back with it soon.

Snow Poem

I'm really guessing on the day of this progress.Anyways you can see I've made some progress on this. It will be done by this weekend (I'm hoping).I was thinking about a blue snowman fabric for the border and backing and I'm pretty sure it's gonna be a wall hanging. Don't hold me to that though as I am a woman and subject to change my mind at any given time...LOL...LOL

My Scarecrows grew this week by 4 and a sign so I thought I would show it off. Not gonna be adding any more as I think it's pretty full now. I was trying to get a night photo so you all could see it lit up but just can't seam to get the brain to work with that...LOL
While I was trying to get a night shot I found some one playing in my Scarecrows. He is one of the twins from the second batch of kittens.

Been a few weeks

This one was completed last week and it was a freebie. I know how much you all like freebies so Click Here and you can have this too.
As you can see the fabric was hand dyed but when I ironed it it made these marks. I added the buttons and leaves with a little Aleans tacky glue after stitching. For the second one I just turned the fabric over but on this one it kinda added to the stitched piece so I left it.
Next this one was completed today at about 3:00 PM. It was from the Pumkins 'A Plenty II booklet in one of my last posts. I really enjoyed stitching both of these.

Some one said she would like to see my Fob Collection so I figured I would show you all. I can tell you who made three of them but can't remeber on the other two so I'm just gonna leave it at that. Maybe I should put a tiny tag on them so I can remeber in the future with the mind going and all...LOL
I love them all so thank you to my stitching friends whom took the time to make me one. I have made a few in my time but don't think they even come close to the ones made for me.

Last weekend I had my oldest son and we got out the scarecrows. With his help this is what we got done..Think we need more and then one more starnd of lights too. It lights up orange at night but that photo didn't come out so good. maybe tonight or tomarrow I will feel like tryin again then I'll post in my next post.

That was the name of my first 2008 MA exchange. For some reason I just can't resist doing Christmas Ma's and so, This is the MA I received from my partner.

My latest stitching finish. I used the Lemon Lime cool aid mix to dy my fabric for this one. I ironed it wet and it gave me a cool spider like effect. By that I mean the lines of the wadded fabric became really dark and it looks like a spider web. The design was from the Plain and Fancy Collection - Pumpkin's A Plenty 11 Leaflet given to me as a PIF. I want to do all the pumpkins but they may have to wait till next year.

Wanna start off with my progress on the Foot Prints in The Sand poem. I have worked on this about 3 day's now and it's going a bit slower then I thought it would. I love the colors and the sea theme of this one.

I did a Friendship Ornament exchange with Paula C. and received word that she received my ornament and in return this is the what she sent to me. A Friendship ornament along with some cool July 4 Th Fabric for the backs of my ornaments. A little ball type ornament for my 4TH tree and a cute card. Thank you Paula for doing this with me I love it all.

I got word that my Angel RAK #2 had arived at it's new home. This one went to Sue V. and I'm so relived that it got there safe and sound. I was really beginning to wounder if it would make it at all. The design was found here and I just added the name with a alphabet I had.

A finish and some RAK's

This has been done for quit some time now but just sent it off about a week ago. It traveled fairly fast to it's new home with Sue P. I was just happy to put a smile on her face with my little thank you gift. I used the photo she took as it was much better then the one I took. Doing something new with some froggs that I found for like $1 a pice. Call him Textoad and he will be sent out with my exchnages with care insturctions.I know Sue V will take great care of him. You can follow his clone travels here if you wish to. I got the pacaging idea from a fellow stitcher whose webshots I ran accross a few weeks back so thanks kaghos. I'm sorry but can't find the link to her photos to share with you.

Here is my finished Britty Kitty form the JCS magazine. Done on hand dyed - Purple fabric with DMC colors & a close up of my spider made out of Polymar clay with little green seedbead eye's. Will make this into an ornament some day,

One last photo and it's of some fabric I dyed for a fellow member on the ESC group. Hope she can find great projects to stitch on it.

Thanks to Sue V. a fellow stitcher I now have a copy of the newly released issue of JCS magazine. I'm gonna do the Britty Kitty ornament first.

I finished another Halloween piece last week just didn't have the time to post it till now. The next ghost I do will have to be done on some hand dyed fabric. I don't know what I was thinking when I started stitching a ghost on white. This was a Leisure Arts design from a leaftlet called Spooky Stuff sent to me by a fellow stitcher CJ. I'm now passing on that leaflet to another fellow stitcher and hope she enjoys it as much as I did.

I was on the SMO group the other day.... well guess it was last month really....and was looking at the wish list's on there when I ran accross Kath looking for Halloween ornament's for the tree they wanted to do. After a few PM's we decided to do an exchange. Thus the photo. I have one more ornament for my tree and a little tuck pillow for underneth. In return Kath has 3 halloween ones for her tree.

Monday Again

I got Saturday the 16TH off unexpectedly and I was not having a good day. The migraine took over but just before I went to bed I checked the mail. This was in there. A RAK that made me smile and made my day. Lisa S. of My Needle & I sent this great gift to me. I now have a heirloom cat made by her, A new beaded scissor fob for my back Cat scissors (soon as they get here)& A creative card.

I'm working on this SMO October this week. Here is my progress so Far. The Halloween bug hit me last week and I figured while I wait on some other designs to come in I would work on this one.

I have a finish Wahooo !!!! I have 2 more of the Santa's to do and think I will just have to give them the same little beard effect. I really like it and DBF likes it so much he has asked If I would let him hang it in the shop for the Holidays.. I'm still debating that one.

These come from a little Thrift store about 3 miles from our house and the only reason I was even there was DBF was looking for a good used coffee table for his shop. I didn't even want to go in the store but I did and see what happened.

Day 3 Progress

Friday I sat down and learned how to make a Beaded Scissor Fob from this Tutorial.I found the Tutorial very easy to follow and with in 2 hours I had my first one done. It took me less time on the second one as I had already made all the mistakes on the first...LOL I used a different end on mine then the called for Lobster claw and really think I like it better.

My progress as of 8-10-08. Have worked on this three days now and think he is comming along nice. Would like to have him done by 8-16-08. The Before and after is just so you can see the difference in the floss (Size and effect wise).I learned a new Techneck today. Thanks to Sue P. from ESC yahoo group. It can be found here. Mom just took my baby sister and her kids back to my home state of Indiana and brought me back this gorgeous Angel. She is Fiber optic and very gorgeous when lit up. I have her in the living room so I can enjoy her at night.

This is my new project for the month of August. Doing this as a Lizzie Kate SAL with a yahoo group.I'm using the RG - Santa's Beard & Suit floss for everything white. Except maybe his gloves ; Haven't decided that yet. If you want a better look you can click on the photo and it will show a blow up.

OK Yesturday afternoon I recived a PIF from Lillie. Yes My PIF arived in record time not like the first envy she mailed. Guess the post office upgraded over night...LOL
Here is what she sent and I put the Pin Keep in it's place of honor, witch is right behind my stitching chair in the kitchen. Thank you Bunches Lillie as alway's you out did yourself in the finishing. Love the fabric and the little light up Eeyore pen.

My stitching project for July 30 & 31. It's a SMO Doddle and I used WDW - Independence and DMC - 930 on the hearts in the center + the boarder. This will be ornament 5 of my 4Th of July tree.

This is a Lizzie Kate Freebie and can be found on here. The first time I saw this design I really didn't think it would be very cute but now that I have done it I feel very different about it. The edges were done with a technique I found online but can't remember where it was that I saw it. Very easy to do and when I figure out the sight for that tutorial I'll be sure to post it for you all.

Here is an update on the out door kitties, my baby and Speedy. Center is the outdoor kitties. Left is my Baby and Speedy. Right is the other out door kitties. Them outdoor Kittie's are getting so big it's hard to believe they are only 6-7 months old.

Monday stitching

Started this at 7am and finished it at 4:45 on Monday 7-21-08. With all my breaks it took me a total of 6 hours to stitch. Then about an hour to finish it into a Pin keep.

Hand dyed the fabric a light blue with gold Glitter mixed in.

stitching and rescuies

Wow it took forever to get this one on here. I finally had to upload it to photo bucket and then put it on here. Nicky and I rescued these from Goodwill on 6-17-08. The cat will stay with me but I'm thinking of sending the other two to friends out of town.
The cool thing about this rescue was the fact that we paid .10 for each one. After we got to the car Nicky said " Mom we should have gotten more ". Kids can be funny at times.

Here is set two of my 4th of July ornament's.
GloryBee Liberty and Rainbow Gallery July" Star's Of Freedom" I personally like the Freedom one the best out of all that I have done so far.
Liberty was done on hand dyed fabric and Freedom was done on a brown fabric I had in my stash. Used Dmc Floss 930, 498 and B5200 on both.

I recived anouther RAK in the mail from Laura P. of ESC. I have to put this on hold for a while as I finish up some other stuff but soon as I get the chance I will break this pattern out and stitch it up. It was from my wish list and I love it so much. Thanks Luara P.

My little helpper sound asleep on my desk while I stitch and chat on IM.

Finally my first set of ornaments are all stitched. Now I just have to make them ornments for my tree. The America Tree was a freebie (Sorry don't have a link for this one), The USA was a freebie from Trail Creek Farm and The Hooray was is a Lizzie Kate design I had in my stash.

4th of July finish

Oh and it's Friday too, so that's a two pointer. Hadn't even thought of that till just now. Hope you all had an enjoyable 4th of July. I sat around the house with oldest son and DBF. Seeing as I have to work tomorrow we are not doing anything tonight. Anyways I finished another Britty Kitty from my RAK gift. You can't see it in the photo but I used some of that Kreinik Blending Filament #092 in with the pink to give it some sparkle.

Next up will be Lizzie Kate- Hooray for the USA as I have decided to make me a 4th of July tree for next year. So far I have found about 4 designs to do up for this. Keep checking and see what I do.

Three finishes and a gift

This package come in the post on 6-28-08 from Barb K. of my ESC group. Thank you so very much for the RAK Gift. I was just about to start another project when the post man ran my bell. So I did one of my gifts. Took me about 9 hours to complete and well worth every minute of it. I haven't felt very good this weekend so this sure did help a bunch.

This is what I did before I got my RAK in the mail. The green one was first and took about 7 hours. This will be a MA very soon. The America one was next and took about 6 hours to complete. This will be made into an ornament and given to DBF after the 4th....SHHHHHH he doesn't know yet.

Wow !! It's been a while scene I had a Friday Finish. Here is my French Cat. I not only love the fact that this one is a Cat but all the hidden little cats and the letter c and the number 8 is all Incorporated in this design as well. The color was Sampler Threads - Cherry wine and just from looking at it you can't tell that it is slightly variegated but if you look at the piece stitched up you can see it. If you click on the photo you can see the hidden stuff much better. Next update will not be for a while so Thanks for stopping by. Happy stitching to all.

Here it is Day 7 completed.

Hand dyed fabric in light blue and outer edge of dark blue. This one was very fast think it took about 4 days to stitch. Very nice color combo though you wouldn't think it was a Christmas design until you read it. I love how Sandy brought together the Valentines colors and the Christmas saying.

QSW Bust

Last weekend was my long weekend so I thought I would do an ornament. Well after about an hours stitching I realized this was not gonna be no ornament.This was started on Friday 5-30-08 and was supposed to be a QSW project. Guess I didn't look at the sizing to close because it took me four days to complete and there is still backstitching to do on this. That my QSW bust and I only finished it because I didn't want any more WIP's. Don't know if the backstitching will ever get done but I'm putting it away for now and moving on to Day 7 of the SMO SAL. Snow Ho Ho has been put aside for a few days and will be worked on again on my next long weekend.

Tuesday Update

What do you get when you have two cats and a size 9 empty show box ? You get two goofy cats that have made a bed...LOL

I started on Snow Ho Ho on 5-21-08 and have about 25 hours into it so far. This has a lot more colors in it then I was expecting but the color changes are not bad. The boarder seams to be taking the longest to complete. I love the pattern so far inspite of that.

In the last post I showed you all the Clay Creations I made for my nice but I added something to the flowers. Here is what I added so she would always remeber we was thinking of her.

Last but not least I started the book I recived (in the last post) on suday and it is an interesting read so far. It only took about one chapter for me to really get involved in the book. Thank You Sue V.

To my nice Sennicca whom is going out of state to finish up her collage. Her grandma, my Mom kinda coned me into this but I really enjoyed doing them for her. A few day's ago my mom called me and asked if I wanted to come over and help her make monkeys. Being so gullible I feel for it and said yes. When I get there mom has 4 things of brown clay and the instructions. Some how or another in just a few minuets I was agreeing to take some money from mom to get the proper supplies and making them for her. Mom's are very tricky and I still don't know how she did this.That's one lesson she forgot to give me...LOL...LOL

Signed up for a Book Mark/Book Exchange on ESC and my partner was very fast with the giving. I still haven't gotten mine ready to mail out yet. Sue V. did a very good job on the choices she made. This looks like a very good read and hope to get started on Friday. Thanks Sue V.

Day 8 done!!!!!!!!

Day 8 is now complete and joins all the rest in my drawer till I deside what to do with them all. This was a fun stitch and now have to wait till next month for the next one to start. I changed the outline color of the bear as to show the detail better. You really can't see much from this photo. Guess that's why I never became a photographer by trade...LOL

Friday morning I got up and started my first bookmark. Got all the stitching done late in the afternoon like around 5 pm or so. Saturday I got up and put the backing fabric on and stitched it all around the edges. This is for a Book mark exchange with ESC group so I'm sorry there will be no more of this one shown till it has been recived from it's new owner.

I have been doing temp jobs for the last 7 years all the while wanting a more permanent position but not finding one. About a year and a half ago I got this job working at a cell phone packing plant. I have done various jobs at this plant and then about 4 months ago I was sent to the cage. Here I refurbish what phones I can and send them back to stock. About 2 weeks ago the department changed and the supervisor told me he was gonna make some staffing changes. I kinda knew what this meant but wasn't totally sure. Well a few days later he asked me to fill out an application and so I did. 1 week went by and I heard nothing then Wednesday 4-30-08 he handed me a paper and it read.

Friday I went and did my drug test and have orientation scheduled for Thursday 5-08-08
I normally don't like getting personal on my blog but this was just to big for me not to tell.

Another SanMan group freebie done. Finished this on Friday 5-2-08 so that makes 8 so far this year. I really fell in love with this one though I don't even know why. I don't like the color green. Done this on a hand dyed pink fabric I dyed for some valentines stuff. Guess I'll have to dye some more for that. Oh well. I used the Focus on finishes blog to guide me through this one. I was gonna make it into a book mark but found out it was to wide for that.

This is a SAL I was doing with Cherie but other then the final finish it's done. We agreed to do this about 2 months ago. I stitched mine for her and she is stitching hers for me. For the final finish I was thinking pillow but now I think I wanna do a wall hanging instead. I would like to be able to see it hanging where I stitch.This is contingent on Cherie's opinion.

Two cats and one box

Did this for the deer BF and he has already took it to the shop and hung it. Guess he liked it somewhat. This is a pocket and I got the idea from some sight online but can't remember witch site it was.
After doing the pocket I wanted to something upbeat, springy and chearfull. I thought this pattern hit all them things. I see this as a bookmark. What do you all think ? Though it's only about half way done the length and width is done.

Bought a new Coffee maker the other day and this is what they did with the box. I have a vidieo but it's too dark and I don't know how to edit it. They played for atleast 30 minuts..going in and out the box. Who needs TV...LOL

I wanna say one last thank you to Sue V. as she found it in here heart to RAK me this week. I love the two patterns she sent to me. I will be trying to start the snow ho ho in about a week or two.

Happy Blogoversery to me on 4-24-08. Wow 3 years and many friendships laiter. Thank you all for visiting my little corner of this big cyber world. I wished I had the money to do a drawing or some kind of give away but right now that is just not possible. I hope you all will continue to read and leave me comment's and maybe next year I will be able to do something nice for you all on this day.

Finished day 9 a few weeks ago but think I forgot to put it on here. So here is my completed pice. Next up is day 8 for the SanMan SAL but can't start that till May.

I finshed and gave an aniversery gift to one of my DBF's busness assosiates the other day. 60 years of marrage Wow !!! Can you emagine. Photos are of the gift and the couple.

Mom's backyard sustained some loss with the storm last week. Big big tree has to be taken out and it fell only inches from landing on her roof over her bed. Sunday I desided I wanted anouther little butterfly garden out front so I got the flower bed ready and Dennis planted some flowers for me. Still have the top stuff to do such as that black paper and the wood chips but it still looks nice right now. I think that now catches me up. Thanks for visiting.

I worked on this one for just a little while this weekend and then I went out and played in the flower bed. Photos of that next time.

This was my quick stitch project for this weekend.Did this in two day's but have not made it into an ornament yet. It's a SanMan group freebie and a very easy stitch. The gadget laying across it is my brand new Boo Boo stick. If you don't have one I highly recommend you get one from here

So Come on little Froggie I'm ready for a reason to get out my new Boo Boo stick and show you how it's done...LOL...LOL
I also added to my stash this pattern and soon on it's way is my Stitch Opoly game. Wahoo !!!!!

Things didn't go quit as I had planed them this weekend for me so I wasn't able to complete this but did make some progress. For thouse who don't know but want to Mon-Tues was my weekend this week. I stayed home all day today and concentrated on this WIP. I have to many in the works right now and was hoping to get this finished today. Things didn't quit go as planed so here is my progress

Lillie Sticks again..Thank you bunches. I had forgotten that she told me she was sending another Birthday gift. She sent BF some spices and this great bruise and pin cushion. Thank You so very much I love them.

Just my quick stitch weekend project. It's a SanMan ornament all finished up. This one was a fun stitch.

This morning I got a polymer clay bug and this is the result of it. A little froggie sitting on his Lilly pad looking at the ladybug and flowers of spring.

Last but not least this is my newest WIP. Day 9 for the SanMan originals group SAL. Not much done yet but not much stitching time this last few days.

Lillie is such a good friend but she's funny too.She felt bad that she had not gotten this in the mail in time for my birthday but it doesn't matter to me. I got it just the other day and love everything very much. I have tried to e-mail but think they are getting lost in cyber space so if your reading this Lillie Thank You so very much.
My gift included a little kitty charm with holder, A pattern from my wish list, some blue floss, card stock, a kitty phone book and best of all she stitched me a little kitty in a basket. I bet this one behaves much better then the 4 I have running around the house right now.....LOL

This is how I spent my Monday afternoon. I made the cording for this too and that's the first time for that. I think It turned out good. It's a SanMan Original design and was very fun and quick to stitch. Now I'm gonna go and collapse on the sofa and go to bed. I have been racing the clock all day and it's time to stop. After seeing this done by a fellow member of CSF group I decided I was gonna do this for a birthday gift. She also got it put on there web sight so I thought that was kind of an honer for her. It's a freebie from My Big Toe Designs. Well yesterday I could have stitched on one of my WIP's but decided to start this instead. I had no idea it was gonna stitch up this fast. In a little more then 24 hours I stitched this and made it into a PinKeep.

The colors I used were
SSS - Huckleberry Cobbler
SSS - Zambuka
Sampler Threads - Butternut Squash
WDW - Azaleas
The fabric was hand dyed by me and at first it was done with a Cool Aid mix but when I washed the fabric after stitching it washed the dye out. I went back and redyed it with my normal way and it looks better then before.

This one doesn't look like much right now and that's mostly because it's allot of white and that @#@#@# frog came to visit me. I had to rip out almost all of what I had done and start over.

I have to work all weekend but hope you all have a good stitching one. TTFN, Me

Our Kitchen is done in blue and butterfly's so my sister in Indiana made me this for my Birthday though it's just now getting here I love it none the less. Thank you Big Sis. It's hand made stained glass.

Had three days off this weekend and so I worked on one WIP a day. Day 1 was my SMO SAL day 12. Finished up April and did May.

I hadn't worked on this one in so long I dusted it off and finished page one.

At work I finished the book I started 2 weeks ago. I don't read much but found this so good that I went and got me another book this weekend.

MARCH is A good month

In the mail on Monday I received an envelope from a good friend Lisa S. You can see what I gave her for her Birthday on her blog. Now her gifts are always wonderful but I really think she out did herself on this one. It was a PIF/ Birthday gift and I am thrilled to have been the recipient of it. I'm glad our Birthdays are in the same month as well.

Now I can say I have my own private stitching room. The card was hand made by Lisa s. and it's outstanding.

This hanger was also in the envelope and as you can see it holds my MA just fine. Oh but I'm gonna need another one if I get any more MA.. (Hint,Hint Lisa)..LOL

Thank you Lisa for the wonderful envelope and all that was in it.
Thank you also for another Year of Friendship it means the world to me.

Messed up on the blues so it's not the right colors but I like it this way. It kinda makes it different from all the others...LOL
