Mail art story
Saturday I take the boy’s to the post office to mail off mom’s envelope. We wait in line for about 5 minutes. We get up to the teller and i tell her that I need to mail this and I need a book of stamps as well. Teller : OK , It will be 52 cent’s to mail this envelope Dawn: OK let’s put the stamps on and you cancel them then I will put it in the plastic bag . Teller : Hold on a minute Dawn : OK The teller goes around the corner and comes back. Teller : You put the stamps here and then put it in the bag so I can cancel the stamps. Dawn : No, I’ll put the stamps on and then you cancel them then we will put it in the bag. Teller : Hold on a minute Teller goes around the corner and comes back Teller : are you shure you want me to stamp your envelope right on the fabric ? I do not want to mess up your beautiful work. Dawn : Yes !!!! That is exactly what I want you to do. That is all part of the art work. With a funny look on her face she agrees and stamps the fabric. Mom Called me last night ( March - 7 - 2006 ) at about 8 p.m. to tell me she got the card and Thanks and that she loved it.
If you do not see the humer in this I'm soooooo sorry but it was sooooooo funny. Dawn
