Sunday we (more like Dennis) decided we would forgo church this week as he had to many things to do. Chris played the PS2 while Nicky and I stitched. I worked on an ornament and Nicky worked on his first project. He stitched a snowflake then put a border around it. The boarder was totally his design and most of the snowflake was his as well. I did help him a little like threading his needle and three of the lines but that is all I did. Now I have this memory of my 12-year-old son sitting with me in the kitchen cross-stitching. I must say this is not at all the child I suspected would want to do this. I actually said he had fun doing his little snowflake. What a great memory hope to have more over the years to come and who knows maybe Chris will join us someday.
This is my ornaments that I have been working on this weekend.
The flower I started on Monday while Nicky did his Cat with Pumkin. Sorry no photos of that one yet.
Tuesday I decided to go ahead a buy this journal book I was looking at. Went to Michel’s and bought some cute little puzzle pieces to embellish it with. This is gonna go to Indeana with me so that I can jot down my thoughts about my trip as they come to me.

Your ornaments are looking great! I think it's wonderful that you have your son interested in stitching. Some of the best stitchers are men. I've seen their work at competition shows, and it's awesome! After all, it was men on ships who created crochet with rope!

Wow! Loved the ornies, especially the red.Looks like its been a productive week for you. Congrads to Nicky on his 1st piece. You've got a stitching partner in the making there! What a lovely bunch of emblishments.

Awesome ornaments!!! I think it is really cool that Nicky is stitching some. My daughter tried it, but just could not really enjoy it. She would rather be in front of the computer! lol
Have not heard from you in a while, hope you are doing really well. Have been thinking about you and praying!
With Love In Christ, Cindy

Hi Dawn! So many lovely things to see... I relate to your pleasure stitching with your son, as my DD also tries hard (she's just 6), and it's fun!... Take care!
