Made some progress
Wednesday, September 26, 2007
Well I had Lot's and Lot's and Lot's of time to stitch this weekend. The Fall SAL didn't get as much attention as he should have but I was on a roll with the Cross Stitch Crazy and just couldn't stop myself. I have added a persons name to the Cross Stitch Crazy one but not gonna reveal until it reaches it's new home. It may be a month or two so just keep watching is all I can say. I'm not gonna even reveal if it's going to a man or a woman. I sure hope the person whom receives it likes it as that person is rather special in my eye's. Looks as though I'm gonna be able to get some of them brown spots in the fabric after all. I was afraid they was all gonna get covered up.
Hope you all have a good stitching week and weekend. My weekend ends today but resumes on Sunday.

Thanks for stopping by & if you leave me a comment Thanks so much!!!

A new start
Thursday, September 20, 2007

Good afternoon to all. I took and unplanned day off from work today so decided to start this project. I'm doing it on 14 count Aida that has not been hand dyed. I was just telling a friend that I haven't done anything on just white in a while. That's not the reason I'm doing this project but just a funny thought I had with myself. Any ways this will be a Christmas gift. Not gonna say who or why till a few months from now.

Here is my progress on my Fall SAL and I'm sorry it's not much but last weekend was not a very great one for stitching on this. I was preoccupied with my heart themed MA.
It is due to be mailed out in just a few short weeks so I wanted to get it done and out of the way. Not to fear though this coming weekend should be great one for making lots of progress on my Fall SAL.

First the big news.

Thanks to a bunch of very sweet ladies over at
Cross stitch forever I was named the "Spoil A Stitcher" for the month of September.
This is a very big honer and this is how I found out about this. I saw this on the home page but thought there was a mistake. For one it was my name and two the month was August. Anyways I emailed the group owner and asked if I was seeing things. She emailed me back and said that she had made a mistake about the month but not the name. I was in total awww and still am. I simply can't believe I have been given such an horror from such nice people. Things like this just don't happen to me as a general rule. I'm so happy and thankful to all of you.

Hi Everyone!
In all the confusion of being in VA and doing the homepage and missing
birthdays and taking birthdays off and putting wrong birthdays on, I forgot
to announce our spoilee of the month!

This month it's Dawn! All of her votes had explanations of how she was so
generous in setting up our SAL Blog and then took time to get us all set up
and able to post on it and it was another reason to love CSF!

Thanks, Dawn, for everything you do and enjoy your month!

~Barb.

Now on to the stitching
I received these for my secret coaster exchange though will not find out who stitched them until the 15 of Sept. I will then show what I stitched as it will no longer be a secret.

I have completed my Halloween card but that photo has to wait till it reaches it's new home next month. I'm very pleased with the final product though and can't wait to show you all.
This is the progress I have made on my Fall SAL for the group. Not much I know but have been trying to get that card done.

Tuesday show and tell
Tuesday, September 04, 2007
My progress on the fall SAL. Worked on it a few hours today and all day Monday. Didn't have any plans for Labor Day. Hope all who celebrated had a great time.

This I finished up on Sunday. Will be going to a two year old little girl that is the granddaughter of a good e-mail friend. Guess you can say that I have kinda adopted her as I have no other girls to stitch for at the moment.

A while back on one of my groups they asked the question " How do you store your needles when not in use " Well I came up with this about 6 months ago. After seeing some snip it jars that I just loved & wished I could get my hands on one. It's not one of them but it will do for now. I took an old washed out jug of something Dennis ate. Painted it with a glass paint and made the lid a pin cushion. Then with my Polymer clay I build a base with a place for my scissor, pencil & highlighter.I then put some butterfly stickers on the jug and there you have my little sewing area.BTW my scissor keep is curtsy of Lilly Liew a great stitching friend.

Please If you haven't done so already please sign my guest book at the bottom of my blog. I have also joined Face Book and would love more friends on there. Also at the bottom of blog. Thank you all so much.
Thanks for stopping by & if you leave me a comment Thanks so much!!!
