Just wanted you to know that I’m on my way to Evansville, IND. For a few days I think I might have the Internet in the motel room but not sure. Do not know how much time I will have for the computer as I would have to share with 8 other people so that is why I’m letting you all know now. Please do not think I have abandoned you in any way just be a little unavailable the next few days.
The reason for the trip is that my big sis has just recently moved back to my hometown of Evansville and is getting married on Saturday. I was originally going as a guest but have now found myself in the bridesmaid position. She called a few days ago and said someone had to back out and asked me if I would do it. This is my big sis so I had to say yes.
When I get back I will post photos in my web shots and tell all how it went so until then I bid you a farewell & happy stitching to all.. I will have my stitching so there will be updates here…

Show-N-Tell

#1 photo is of a card I did this morning for a Friend who did me a favor.
The favor was done a few weeks ago but I could not just go and get a card from the store I had to make one. With my upcoming trip I had no time to stitch one. My first Tea Bag Folding card got the idea after reading my friend Hiedi blog. Then after doing some learning on the subject and looking at some other works of art I used the word program combined with the tea bag folding and this is what I did.

You all requested that I show how I ended up finishing this so here it is. I put a piece of Fuchsia colored fleece on the back and used some fancy sewing sheers to trim it out then put some ribbon on to hang it.

Bragging rights

Sunday we (more like Dennis) decided we would forgo church this week as he had to many things to do. Chris played the PS2 while Nicky and I stitched. I worked on an ornament and Nicky worked on his first project. He stitched a snowflake then put a border around it. The boarder was totally his design and most of the snowflake was his as well. I did help him a little like threading his needle and three of the lines but that is all I did. Now I have this memory of my 12-year-old son sitting with me in the kitchen cross-stitching. I must say this is not at all the child I suspected would want to do this. I actually said he had fun doing his little snowflake. What a great memory hope to have more over the years to come and who knows maybe Chris will join us someday.

This is my ornaments that I have been working on this weekend.

The flower I started on Monday while Nicky did his Cat with Pumkin. Sorry no photos of that one yet.

Tuesday I decided to go ahead a buy this
journal book I was looking at. Went to Michel’s
and bought some cute little puzzle pieces to
embellish it with. This is gonna go to Indeana
with me so that I can jot down my thoughts
about my trip as they come to me.

Assume mail day

Wow what an ending to my weekend. On this day 9-3-2006
I got in the mail my Pin Cushion exchange from Heidi.
I'm just sad that I have heard no word yet of mine arriving
to her. I know it's on the way though.. Thank you so much Hedi.
The back is made of real leather and it is so soft. I just want
to cuddle up with it ( Silly Hugh)

I picked out the colors and she split this design so very
interesting and beautifully. Assume job but that's just my
opinion.

Like I said it is the end of my weekend so here is the progress
I made on my snowflake. Did not get anything done on the
snowman. I was only able to stitch one 1/2 day's this week.
Maybe I can get it done tonight but I do not see that happening.

Oh ya I got anouther post card from Postcrossing - The Postcard Crossing Project.
This one come from Germany so that's 2 now.
