Two more for WOCS done and ready to mail.

Lillie has been showing her Tea Pot collection and this has got me thinking I should try to do one with polymer clay so here it is.....My little tea pot. I have only one question now. Should I make cups to go with it?

Rose MA arrived and it looks as if it was grown in my garden. Sari did an outstanding job on this and I shouldn't have waited so long to show you all. The envy's are great as well. I'm already thinking about valentine stitching with these colors of floss.

New Envies & update

I have been waiting for this one to arrive and it was well worth the wait. This was from Lody at Mailart Friends a yahoo group. This exchange was Initials. Dennis liked this one as well...He Owwed and awwed over it for 10 minutes.I loved everything about this one. The envies inside were great as well. Thank you Lody for the great MA to add to my collection.

I was out shopping for a gift for a friend the other day and I stumbled across this great find. Being a big Eeyore fan I just couldn't pass him up. He is just too cute for words.

I got a little work done on Flower Power last week and here is my end of the week progress. This one is still a joy to work on but seams to be a slow stitch. That could be cause I'm only working on this when I get free time on my days off.

New starts and organizing.......

Started this on 7-09-09Cheryl from my Yhaoo group FC sent me this pattern. Some of the ladies in this group are doing this as a SAL and I have admired it the first time I saw it. They started there's weeks ago. Now I thought I would wait till I retired to do this due to it's size but guess God had other plans. I'm both Happy and scared to be doing this pattern.

Started this one on 7-10-09.

Don't know what has gotten into me these day's. At work I have been cleaning thoroughly and at home I organized my card making stuff then today I organized my fabric. Gonna get rid of allot of it due to not having any use for it. Here is the before.

Pictures say so much. Now 2 weeks later they still like the boxes but I had to remove them from the floor as they are worn out from cat's jumping on top all day long.

I did another MailArt and received word via the mail man that it had arrived safe and sound. Don't know if you remember the start of this one or not. If you scroll down a few posts you can see it. I'm upset with the lady in witch this went to. You are supposed to post to the group when you receive along with photos so the group can owwww & awwwwwwww. This lady did not do this and I would really just like to know why? I put my own photos on the group and no one said a word.I know I will get lots of owwwwwwww's & Awwwwwww's from you all so Thanks in advance.

Great mail day

I had just arrived home from work and was about to jump in the shower when I heard a knock at the door. It was the mail lady and I could see 2 envelopes in her hand. I was so excited as I knew it was my MA from the Tea/ Coffee exchange & my pattern from Lillie. My first MA all the way from Greece...It's a Mill Hill design and all done in beads. Thank you so much Michelle for this piece of art.

I admired this pattern a while back when I saw Lillie stitching it. A few weeks ago she noticed that she had a duplicate so she sent me this one. How very sweet of her and I have just a few things to stitch first then I will be able to-do this one. Also inclosed was some pins she hand made and a post card. I love getting post cards to add to my collection. The pins are very cute and may prove to be very useful. I have never tryed them before.Thanks a bunch Lillie. From Lillie

I'm gonna take a page from her and pass this on to all whom I visit and all whom visit my blog.Thanks for all the great comments.

OK ladies I just got word that my latest MA has been received. The theme was Coffee/Tea and was given to Michelle in GREECE. My first one to go there so you can click on her name and you can see the MA I sent. I'm still waiting on mine from her and will show as soon as it comes in.

On the stitching front:
I finished this about a week ago. Not to happy with the trim job but Dennis likes it and that's what matters.

This is my current WIP and I'm doing this with a FaceBook group. Wanna try and finish it up this weekend so we will see. Right now I can't tell who it's for or what it will be. I found the Satin floss pack at Hobby Lobby last week and thought the colors would be great for flowers then when I got the pack home and opened it up I saw these cute Butterfly's on a leflet inside. Now I have two uses for the floss. Wahooo !!!!!

This is my arm after one week. Looks good if you ask me. Been putting the vitamin E oil on it several times a day and it's just about all pealed off and just a tiny pink color. For those who don't know what happened. I had a fight with the bacon at work and the bacon won...LOL I was pulling a pan of cooked bacon out the oven and there was a great amount of grease on the pan. When I turned to set the pan on the table the grease drizzled down my arm. Thus resulting in this. I ran my arm under cold water to get the grease off and then put on Lavender oil. It never boiled up just got really brown.

MA Exchange

I just finished up anouther MA exchange with the MA yahoo group. This one was Favorite Holiday and lucally my partners Favorite Holiday is Christmas. Janien did and awsume job if you ask me. The gifts she included were cool too. A big thank you to Janien.

I'm now using the floss she sent for a SAL project I'm doing with my CSF yahoo group. It is working out great with the fabric I chose. More about that next time.

This is the MA I sent to Janien and just recived word that she got it. Only showing the back because the front only had her address on it.

Here is my progress on the baby blanket and from my guessing right now I'm a little over half done with this.

I'm back....

And it fells good.Ok Ladies and Gents I’m officially back online. I was trying to reply to an email about two weeks ago and my computer froze up and wouldn’t come back on. Dear BF saw how miserable I was and told me to take my computer in and have it looked at. I did and they ended up rebuilding it for mere $300 buckaroos. Dear BF paid for said repairs and now I’m running XP on my newly rebuilt Computer. I’m had DSL for over a year now but WOW !!!! never knew what a difference it was till Friday the 2 of November. So I have a great big Thank you going out to my dear sweet BF.

Stitching
I’ve only done a little in the last two weeks. Depression and learning how to Tat took up lots of my time. I learned how to make a circle and join two circles but that is the extent of my tatting. I can’t seam to figure out the rest. I did however participate in a MA exchange with one on my groups. This one was called Hearts and the photos are of what I sent and received.

New finsih

My Garden MA exchange has arrived. Yippee I love the little pattern she put on the front and on the back was two little penguin buttons. Now I am the proud owner of 3 MA's. Incase I have never said this before I'm Addicted to the MA almost as much as Cross-Stitching itself.
On Sunday I gave mom her needle book and she liked it. There is nothing like getting to see someone’s face light up when they receive a piece you have work really hard on. I did however mess up and put the closure on the left side instead of the right but she was sweet enough to say it was just right for her as she was right handed. I love ya mom even if you are just saying that to make me fell better.
Now onto my new finish.. Yep I got it done finally. While doing the end of this one I was reading a blog and got a Q-snap tip that I tried and must say WOW!!! I put some felt on the Q-Snap from and then my fabric and then the clap thing. The felt kept the fabric stable It was cool.

Amen and Thank you Jesus it has arrived. Just got the email from Lillie confirming that the MA
# 2 has arrived. Whahoo !!! She said she is doing a happy dance but I’m doing a bigger one.

Here is my progress on the book cover. Hope my little munchkin likes it. I still have to put his
Initials on it and sew it together but the biggest part is done.

This was found Here and done on 14 count Adia off-white witch I will dye a navy blue.
I have added to my stash. Patterns I ordered as a birthday gift to myself sense none in my family thought of getting me any thing stitch related. If you look at the monkey photo you will see that I have a cat needle minder as well to add to my stash. Though I don’t know if I would consider that stash per say but rather a stitching necessity. And last but not least on the day I received my stash I also received this wonderful gift from Heidi for a belated birthday gift. She did a wonderful job on the little needle book.

Another weekend gone....

I found out that Lillie's MA is now MIA so,
I figured that sense it is MIA I can show a photo now.

I had so much fun doing this one for Lillie I'm just sorry she never got to hold it.
Loosing something in the mail is almost like loosing a part of yourself. Enough about that as there is not anything I can do about it.

I'm working on #2 for Lillie and just wanted to show you the trim that I did on it.
Kinda a sneak peek thing..No I'm not gonna show any more of it till it reaches my friend. I got the idea for the trim after looking at the MA Lillie sent to me. Please tell me what you think as it is my first time making my own trim other then from my kitting bee.

My op-ion on uploading photos here on blogger:I just tried uploading one photo on the web verse one off my computer and I have to give the on-line one two thumbs up. It uploaded allot faster.

MA recived & WIP

OK ladies I'm happy to be able to show you something very special to me. Here about a month ago Lily and I decided to do an spring MA exchange. Though you will have to wait to see the one I did here is the one Lily sent to me. I received it on 3-19-07 and I almost cried when I saw it. She did an assume job in my opinion I can only hope she says the same about mine but I know that mine was not as good. There's no way it as a s good as this one. Thank You ,Thank You ,Thank You !!!!

This is my progress on Nicky's book cover.
Not much work has been done on this because I have been doing some other stuff I can't show right now but now that that is all done I can put my efforts into this project and get it finished.
