Lots of stitching to show
Tuesday, January 20, 2009
First update is of Dennis' stuff. He is really doing good and keeping with the stitching. We have come to an agreement though...He stitches and I make the ATC's for them. He did one and it wasn't very good so this is not his expertise....LOL

I did this one finally as it's been in my stash for a long time. Laura from ESC sent this one to me a while back. Thanks Laura !!! I want to take my cricket machine and make the cats names and make a wall hanging with this. I will post a photo when I get that done. This is a Stitching Kitty design called The Kitty did it & a fun stitch

When the boys were here for Christmas I asked both of them to pick out an ornament pattern they liked. This was Nicky's pick from Lizzie Kate's Tiny Tidings V11.

This is a Helga Mandi design done in DMC 4045 because I didn't want to buy the floss she called for as funds are tight right now. Did this one in only about 4 hours on a Sunday.

Last but not least an non stitching card. Done for my oldest son who will be 17...Yes 17 on the 22 of Jan-09. Love you Chris and hope you enjoy the card. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU !!!!!!!
The letters were done with my Cricut Machine.

Here is Dennis' second finish. I just now noticed his mistake but it's OK I'll fix that for him. Said he doesn't ever wanna do another snowflake. Said they was to confusing. Don't know what he will do next but think it might be a stocking.

Finished my Bell ornament today and was so very happy. This took me over a week to do up and though it took much longer then I thought it would it really turned out quiet beautifully. Didn't do the back stitching on it as 1. I hate back stitching and 2. I didn't like the way it was looking with it.

My latest ATC card. This is for an exchange on

Good Weekend & BF stitching
Tuesday, December 02, 2008
Yes !!!!!! you read that right...I finally after a year convinced Dennis to give Crosstitching a try. The first photo is the Itty Bitty Christmas tree he made into a Christmas card. He is now working on a snow flake in red. He is working with 11 count Aida because though you can teach on old dog new crafts you can't make the eye sight better....LOL
He did a really good job on this I think.

Next up we have a project that my oldest and I worked on together. I made the Santa out of clay and put the snow on the pine cones then I helped with the snowmen. Chris made the pound and then glued all the stuff to the board and helped with the snowmen.
He even took the photo.

I did my first Helga Mandl design and turned it into an ornament. This was no easy task for me yesterday. I had an upset tummy and nothing was going right with putting this together. I started out doing the beaded edge but finally ripped that out and went with the frayed edge. Helga Mandl has some freebies here if you wanna check then out. The design I did was from her SAL book that she sells on the group wXswThis was also my first stitch ever on 18 count Aida. I was always so intimidated by the smaller counts but seance Sue was so kind to send me some I had to give it a try. I must say thanks to Sue for that..as I like it very much.

Now I leave you with my ATC's. This will put an end to this project till I can get some more stitched up and Dennis has a chance to catch up...LOL
Thanks for visiting me and I hope you enjoy.

Tuesday Update
Tuesday, May 27, 2008
What do you get when you have two cats and a size 9 empty show box ? You get two goofy cats that have made a bed...LOL

I started on Snow Ho Ho on 5-21-08 and have about 25 hours into it so far. This has a lot more colors in it then I was expecting but the color changes are not bad. The boarder seams to be taking the longest to complete. I love the pattern so far inspite of that.

In the last post I showed you all the Clay Creations I made for my nice but I added something to the flowers. Here is what I added so she would always remeber we was thinking of her.

Last but not least I started the book I recived (in the last post) on suday and it is an interesting read so far. It only took about one chapter for me to really get involved in the book. Thank You Sue V.

Ready Santa / Thread separators
Thursday, January 31, 2008
Think I started this on Monday 1-28-07. I had started on another calico Crossroads one but messed up and had a migraine so I set that aside for now. Here is my progress on another San Man Original called Ready Santa. That's what I'm calling it any ways cause the pattern doesn't have a name on it. His nose is great just stitched up but I decided to add a button just to give him my own little spin.

I have been thinking about these Thread separators for about a week now. This morning on the group CSF there was a post and it had a link to some of these. Well that's what gave me the design idea for these. Couldn't get a good photo of the one I made for myself and now it's outside drying so maybe later I can get one.Let me just say that they work like a champ. You just clip it to the end of the strand of floss and pick up loss end and separate your stands of floss. Hope that makes scene to you all. I'm not very good with the words.

MA/WIP/Cats
Thursday, December 20, 2007
Here is my version of Eliot. I saw this done by a fellow stitcher so sorry I can't member whom it was but I thought he was to cute and decided I had to do this. I've worked on him for two days now and this is my progress. He was a freebie and I know how much us stitchers like freebies so Here is the link to him.
A few months ago I had asked my stitching group if we was gonna do a Christmas MA exchange but highly disappointed when they said no. I got an e-mail from Mia that she would happily do one with me so we did. This is the MA she sent to me witch I received just a few days ago. I personally think she went out of her way on this one but love it very very much. Thank you.
Mia.I love Santa and the card even though I can't read most of it. I like the way she did the address as well. All very original.

I have updated Kitty Tails if anyone cares to go and have a look see.

The tree is up !!!!!!
Sunday, December 16, 2007
This was a Christmas gift from a dear friend in Malaysia.

Thank you so much To Lillie L. Do you all see my little Eeyore ? He has a little magnet on the bottom of him and thought that would sure come in handy when picking them needles up off the floor. The pattern of the ornament Lillie tells me is called Santa Paws. he is just the cutest little thing I've seen in a while. The little Kitty cat is now on my cell phone. I had one on there but this one had to take it's place.

Thank you to Lisa S. whom was kind enough to send me this pattern as part of an exchange we did with CSF group. I'm in love with the design the colors and the way it turned out. Somebody asked me what color I used so here is the answer to that.
This is a MDesighns pattern
I used a anchor floss #121
Thank you all for the great Comments. They mean so much to me.Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Learning crochet
Friday, November 09, 2007

On my two day weekend I taught myself how to crochet and I worked with my polymer clay. I have no photo of the clay projects as they will be gifts and I’ll show after received.
The following photo is of the crochet I did. It’s just a practice square and I need lots of practice. I did do a few snow flakes and think I will turn them into ornaments. Have no idea what I will start next. Hope you all have a good weekend. I’m at work for the next three days.
