Managed a little stitching time this past week. Here is my progress on Spiced Tea. This is the second day of February and I have yet to start the Vermilion snowman of the month. I will either start him soon or wait till I get this one done.
Just a few cards I made Sunday morning using my Cricket machine. Right now all I can really do with my Cricket is the words on the inside but hope to soon have another cartridge to do some shapes. Been trying to do some Quilling stuff and that's what is on the one that says Love.
My dear BF decided a few months ago (OK more like a year ago) that it was time for me to have an upgrade on my Blazer. This is what was presented to me on Sunday 1-25-09 morning. A 2000, bright red blazer. I drove it to work Sunday then really got to drive it on Monday cause I was off. I'm happy with it and the DBF has his good moments..LOL...LOL Oh Ya !!! notice the kitten ? That is from momma kitties last batch of kittens. He is so very soft and very friendly and if I leave my door open he will not hesitate to jump in my car.

Next Month is right around the coroner & this is my stitching plans for February.
I got Saturday the 16TH off unexpectedly and I was not having a good day. The migraine took over but just before I went to bed I checked the mail. This was in there. A RAK that made me smile and made my day. Lisa S. ofMy Needle & Isent this great gift to me. I now have a heirloom cat made by her, A new beaded scissor fob for my back Cat scissors (soon as they get here)& A creative card.
I'm working on this SMO October this week. Here is my progress so Far. The Halloween bug hit me last week and I figured while I wait on some other designs to come in I would work on this one.
Day 8 is now complete and joins all the rest in my drawer till I deside what to do with them all. This was a fun stitch and now have to wait till next month for the next one to start. I changed the outline color of the bear as to show the detail better. You really can't see much from this photo. Guess that's why I never became a photographer by trade...LOL
Friday morning I got up and started my first bookmark. Got all the stitching done late in the afternoon like around 5 pm or so. Saturday I got up and put the backing fabric on and stitched it all around the edges. This is for a Book mark exchange with ESC group so I'm sorry there will be no more of this one shown till it has been recived from it's new owner.
First I wanna say a great Big Thank You to all whom congratulated me on my promotion at work. I thoroughly enjoyed my first day even if it was Mothers Day.My Mothers Day Rose from DBF. My current WIP as of Today. A close up so you can see the bear detail. Momma had more babies. The first few are of the set from last year and this time Momma had 4 in total.
Did this for the deer BF and he has already took it to the shop and hung it. Guess he liked it somewhat. This is a pocket and I got the idea from some sight online but can't remember witch site it was. After doing the pocket I wanted to something upbeat, springy and chearfull. I thought this pattern hit all them things. I see this as a bookmark. What do you all think ? Though it's only about half way done the length and width is done. Bought a new Coffee maker the other day and this is what they did with the box. I have a vidieo but it's too dark and I don't know how to edit it. They played for atleast 30 minuts..going in and out the box. Who needs TV...LOL
I wanna say one last thank you to Sue V. as she found it in here heart to RAK me this week. I love the two patterns she sent to me. I will be trying to start the snow ho ho in about a week or two.
Happy Blogoversery to me on 4-24-08. Wow 3 years and many friendships laiter. Thank you all for visiting my little corner of this big cyber world. I wished I had the money to do a drawing or some kind of give away but right now that is just not possible. Finished day 9 a few weeks ago but think I forgot to put it on here. So here is my completed pice. Next up is day 8 for the SanMan SAL but can't start that till May.
I finshed and gave an aniversery gift to one of my DBF's busness assosiates the other day. 60 years of marrage Wow !!! Can you emagine. Photos are of the gift and the couple.
Last up is a pesonal update. Photos will be here Mom's backyard sustained some loss with the storm last week. Big big tree has to be taken out and it fell only inches from landing on her roof over her bed. Sunday I desided I wanted anouther little butterfly garden out front so I got the flower bed ready and Dennis planted some flowers for me. Still have the top stuff to do such as that black paper and the wood chips but it still looks nice right now. I think that now catches me up. Thanks for visiting.
Things didn't go quit as I had planed them this weekend for me so I wasn't able to complete this but did make some progress. For thouse who don't know but want to Mon-Tues was my weekend this week. I stayed home all day today and concentrated on this WIP. I have to many in the works right now and was hoping to get this finished today. Things didn't quit go as planed so here is my progress
My little Eeyore collection. Just wanted to show this off. The one on the yellow base is from lilly, the needle Book is from Hiedi and the other one used to be a book light but no longer works as one.
Our Kitchen is done in blue and butterfly's so my sister in Indiana made me this for my Birthday though it's just now getting here I love it none the less. Thank you Big Sis. It's hand made stained glass.
Had three days off this weekend and so I worked on one WIP a day. Day 1 was my SMO SAL day 12. Finished up April and did May.
I hadn't worked on this one in so long I dusted it off and finished page one.
At work I finished the book I started 2 weeks ago. I don't read much but found this so good that I went and got me another book this weekend.
Went out in the back yard today and found a few signs of spring out there. Aren't they pretty ? Now just gotta wait till my butterfly garden and lavender blooms. I'm so excited I can hardly wait These are the sources of my specialty floss..LOL every time I sit in a chair there is one or the other wanting lap time. Here is my progress for the week. I only have one snowman and some of the background left to do. Next few days and I should be done and ready to start a SAL with my Friend Cherie.
Here is my weeks end progress on the Day 10. I've gotten off early enough each day last week to come home and stitch for a few hours. I'm really liking this one.
I also managed to finish my March ornament today. This was a Erica Michaels freebie and found Here. Think it's down twards the bottom of the page.
I used 14 count adia white Dmc floss 988, 700, 208 & 680 outlined it with Kreinik metallics 015
My progress on the Day 10. The colors of the castles are not right but after discovering my mistake I just decided rather then frog it all I would just work with it. I'm doing the little noses in the satin stitch as I think it looks better then just cross stitching them. I would like to Thank Hiedi Birthday Gift card from PatternsOnline. I received this box of goodies in the mail on Thursday but was really tired from work so I'm just now getting the photo taken and posted for all to see. Thank you goes to my good e-mail friend Chris. This was so sweet of her to send me a birthday care package. One of these days I will get to stitching the cat Cross stitch she sent. The flat thing in the center is a crochet hand bag. Very nice and she did a pot holder and I love the girl scout cookies. The candy though was confiscated by DBF. Saturday was my Birthday and I was lucky enough to have the day off. I also got my income tax back so I had money too !!!! I went shopping all day for blue jeans and can you believe I didn't buy one piece of stash. I amaze myself sometimes !!!!!! I had started this on Saturday but ripped it all out due to when I had turned the fabric over to Ty off the strand I realized I was stitching the wrong way. Riped it all out and sent the froggie on his little way, so beware. He is looking for a new home...LOL This is Day 1's progress of my SAL Day 10. You really can't see much right now other then the blue. This will be really cute when all done up so I hope you hang out and watch it grow with me.

I love everything and on the envelope she signed with the Japanese spelling of her name. That is going in my hope chest along with the card sent. The pin Keep is just fabulous.It's Brittercup titled Kitty Litter. This has been on my wish list for a while now and the fact that I now do not have to spend money on it or stitch it is very cool. The little bear is too cute and she took the time to wrap everything in it's own little bag how sweet is that. OK I'm rambling now so I will stop.
Now to my vent ting about this here club. This club was my idea in the beginning and to not be able to even post on it just appals me... I was over sighted or was I ???? I tried to go to the stitching bloggers birthday club and pot that I had received my gift only to find out that I can't. After hering some of the ladies on my group rave about their Rotary tool I just kneew I had to have one now. Thanks for the influence ladies...LOL...LOL OK about two weeks ago I told DBF that I wanted a Rotary tool for my birthday and after talking about it for a while he said "Well aren't you gonna need a mat to cut on? "I said "Well yes I guess so. A few days later he told me he had gone to Wal-Mart and looked at the rotary tools and mats. So I really thought no more about it. Saturday night He come home from work and the boys just kinda disappeared into the other room. DBF said he had them cleaning up a mess don't worry they are fine. After dinner they both gave me a card they had made earlier and that is why they had disappeared. There was no mess...HA Ha on me right. Then they gave me the mat and Rotary tool. I have 3 of the best guys in the world and I got it a week early too.
This was my long weekend off work so I managed to get my Shamrock finished but gonna use my tool to cut it and so I haven't gotten a photo of it yet. Then after doing that I started Day 12 of the SAL. We don't start the Day 10 till March so I figured I would use my spare time playing catch up on this one.
SanMan Originals ( Ready Santa ) Completed on 2-04-08 Done on 14 count Aida I did change the nose just a tinny bit. Just thought the heart would put a little Dawn spin on the project. This was a fast and fun stitch as I think it only took me about a week to finish. Next project will be an ornament for the ILCS contest.
